Meet Your Instructor

Barbara (Brankovska) Streibl is a certified instructor, a former Federation Cup player, and an experienced tournament player. She has played tournaments in England, France, Spain, and Italy as well as across Canada and the US.

Barbara has played tennis since the age of 6. She started TennFitt Tennis, utilizing the wall method, in 2015 in Calgary. After pausing around COVID, she resumed teaching in summer 2025 and is now excited for the 2025-2026 indoor tennis season.

FAQs

Students ages 7 and up are welcome.

Lessons for the Winter 2026 season start Monday, January 5, 2026.
You can join the session anytime, but be aware that it takes about four months of weekly lessons to learn the technique for beginners or to correct faults in the technique of more advanced players.

Classes run for 18 weeks to May 25 (no lessons on February 16 (Family Day), April 6 (Easter Monday), and May 18 (Victoria Day)).

Lessons are on Mondays at 5 pm and 6 pm.

As long as you have non-marking tennis shoes and a water bottle, you're good to go. We'll provide the balls, racquets, and training equipment.

The cost for all 18 weeks of lessons is $450, which is only $25 per hour-long lesson.
There is the option to pay in two installments: $300 for the first 12 weeks of lessons (January 5 to March 30) and $150 for the remaining 6 weeks of lessons (April 13 to May 25).
Payment can be made by e-transfer, cheque, or cash.

No, we do not offer drop-in lessons. Each student must register for the entire session or, if registering after January 5, for the number of lessons remaining.
