Tennis as a Tool for Diabetes Prevention

Obesity or overweight, a major factor in diabetes and pre-diabetes, cancer and heart disease,

is caused by poor eating habits, lack of exercise and daily stress. Learning how to play tennis,

a sport for life, will provide exercise and stress relief but only if the individual learns a good

technique.

 

Teaching tennis in a gym during the winter is the most efficient and effective way of teaching

the technique. TennFitt provides all equipment for beginners so only exercise clothing and

running shoes are required, making tennis an affordable sport. Tennis also provides stress

relief by making new social connections and by engaging in aerobic movement. Other stress-relieving activities sometimes do not have the aerobic, HIIT component, while tennis does, particularly as taught by the TennFitt method.

 

Take the opportunity to try this wonderful but challenging sport indoors and continue playing it outdoors.
